Laxminarayan Institute of Technology (LIT), established in 1942, is a premier government aided institute of higher education in the field of chemical engineering and technology .The sprawling 78 acre campus of LIT acts as a sanctum of learning in Central India. The institute attracts students with excellent academic credentials from all over the country and moulds them into engineers that over the last fifty-eight years have done it proud. The college has a highly qualified faculty, which is committed in imparting the best of their knowledge. They are actively engaged in training the students in the present context.

LIT has well-equipped laboratories and also boasts of the best library in Central India.

The Institute offers a four-year degree of Bachelor of Technology in Chemical Engineering and Chemical Technology, and specialized programs leading to Masters and Doctorate degree.
